This Friday on March 6th the Paris Saint Germain men’s soccer team will face a major rival vs AS Monaco as they look to finish the last 10 game stretch of Ligue 1 with a win against a tough team. The game will take place at PSG’s home in the Parc des Princes stadium with it set to start at 2:45 pm eastern.
This game is an important test of confidence for the Parisian team who has struggled against Monaco and almost lost to them in the Champions League twice. The last three games vs Monaco have resulted in only one victory along with one defeat and one draw.

Monaco has found success playing in a similar style to PSG. The head coach for PSG Luis Enrique mentioned how the team isn’t used to facing a team like themselves. This game comes at a crucial time where PSG needs all three points from a win in order to secure a better lead in the league standings.
PSG currently sits at no.1 in the league with 57 points with Lens trailing in 2nd at 53 points. If Monaco is able to secure a win against PSG this will put them in danger of losing the league. PSG is also set to face the second place team Lens after their fixture vs Monaco.

While PSG faces the struggles of maintaining their lead in the league they also have to focus on their upcoming matchup vs Chelsea. This game which is the first leg of two is set to take place on Wednesday, March 11th at 3 pm eastern time. PSG looks to come into this game fresh and inspired after their close battle with Monaco.
The last time PSG faced Chelsea was in the Club World Cup where Chelsea won 3-0. PSG comes into this game as the favorite mostly due to them being the defending champions of the tournament. The Parisian team will look to sharpen their play and collect a win against a tough rival vs Monaco in hope of gaining confidence and preparing for the future Chelsea match.
